Additional Premium Processing

The USCIS has plans to issue one final rule that involves legislation to authorize agencies to expand the premium processing services in order to add more applications that are employment based. These include adding Form I-140s, employment authorization applications and petitions as well as extending the status of dependents of both the H-1Bs and the L-1 workers.

Making Filing Fees Higher

The Department of State has been expecting to raise some visa application fees when it comes to consulates. As this is happening, the USCIS also plans to increase the petitions and the application fees in March. This also means that with these higher fees, it can help to recover the agency’s operation fees.
