Currently the Biden Administration has begun to issue denials for many Afghans that are seeking to find a better place by immigrating to the United States. This is done through a parole process and through a system that processed roughly 2,000 applicants and applications yearly, it has now grown to more than 30,000 applicants within months.

Why This Currently Matters

As of now, the many Afghans that are seeking a better life are facing steep odds and longer process in order to legally live and immigrate to the United States. Though the current administration has provided efforts to relieve aid, there are many involved in immigration stating that there are too many barriers being broken and placed in order to provide a safe haven for many leaving Afghanistan.
