Since April of this year, there have been flexibilities established for immigration programs, such as the I-9 forms and their overall completion. With the increase of remote working as well, this means that the goals that the current U.S. government wishes to achieve are to be a bit stagnant as they try their best for authorization and verification for their current and new employees as well as verifying each of the processed I-9 forms sent.

With the side effects of COVID-19 laying impact on immigration as well as inflation, this means that processing current immigrants means additional costs in the department of Immigration Services as many are looking to increase their fees and for proposals for additional resources.

Because of this, with the second year of the pandemic coming to a close, there have still been regulations and slightly stringent to international travel given the circumstances of COVID-19 presented. This also means delays in processing as well as additional methods required for international affairs.
